I do use this for post recovery exercise and its very helpful for my recovery timing. Without it, my recovery takes 8 to 12 hours longer. I discovered this supplement helped me after surgery that involved prolong sedation. It helped with the side effects of the sedition and it help me recover quicker with results that surprised my doctor.
I use Reconstruxion to help recover after playing ball hockey (as a goalie) during the summer as the building we play in can get very hot and humid. With all my gear i sweat away more than a couple pounds of water and this helps me not feel like I have been run over by a herd of buffalo.
I’m 75, been going to the gym since I was a kid. I started watching Jeff on YouTube, a couple of years ago. I started using his Reconstru. I train 6 sometimes 7 days a week, it’s what I like to do, the only time I’m sore now is when I do something dumb.
After a hard workout I struggle with soreness as I’m 67 years old. I noticed the benefits immediately! I’m sold on it.
I was skeptical at first, but figured why not. I’ve noticed the DOMS is significantly less the next day, and by day 2 completely gone. Before trying this, the soreness would sometimes linger into day 2. Love being able to go 100% in the gym every time without worrying about DOMS.
Haven’t worked out in a long while and the first day I came back worked shoulders and was so sore I could barely lift my arms. I heard about this product and wanted to try it since coming back to working out hard didn’t want to be sore all the time. So I did a scoop about 1 hour before work out and drank half before and half after. Hit my chest and back worked out till my muscles were numb.. wanted to really make sure I worked hard enough to make my muscles sore to see if this will work. Woke up the next day ZERO soreness. It works.
I have never used a muscle recovery supplement but I’ve always loved to workout and as hard as I can. I just “accepted” that DOMS was something to be endured. I bought this product based on the reviews and it was on a Black Friday special. However, to be honest, none of the flavors appealed to me — I really just like vanilla (or chocolate. . . though I’d be open to a “red velvet cake” variety — jus’ sayin’). The “frosty pina colada” seemed the “best” choice for me all said. Taste: first couple tries it was OVERWHELMINGLY SWEET and I didn’t think I’d be able to use it. But kept using and think I acclimated “a little more” after a week or so, but still not a favorite. Note: I need to use EXTREMELY cold water. Texture: I use an immersion hand mixer and although it gets quite frothy, I don’t taste a whole lot of graininess, so that’s a win. I was hoping for improved sleep like others mentioned, but can’t say it’s helped there. The big takeaway however is that it has eliminated so much soreness that I have to remind myself to take rest days. But moreover, and importantly, I notice that I feel so very much stronger and lifting better since I’ve been using it. I will buy this again “may” try a different flavor next time.
I was reading that people can’t get the powder to dissolve . I don’t have the problem. I stir it with fork in 10 oz of water . I love the green apple crisp, taste like Red Bull. Don’t get rid of that flavor! As for recovery, I have only been taking it for three days so I am unsure: but it taste so good I will reorder
Just received my Stack. Breaking open the seals. I’m 67 YO, excited to regain muscle lost. Will update you’ll. “It never gets easier, you just get stronger!”
Taste is good and a scoop into a water bottle with a shake up absorbs pretty good. It is a tad grainy and you have to keep shaking but it doesn’t bother me. Loving it.
The Power
Recovery is more than just a buzzword. It is a recognized stage of the muscle building process. The fact is, if you aren’t taking recovery seriously, you are never going to reach your full potential. Recovery is so important that several of the leading sports organizations in the world have created panels of specialists to make sure their million dollar athletes are recovering properly and adequately, and Athlean-Rx ReconstruXion has been a part of that conversation.
The Science
6g of Leucine, a whopping 10g of Glutamine, 1.25g of Betaine… These are just the kick off points for this powerhouse of a formula. As always, we put the science in everything we do, and each and every ingredient is thoroughly researched and backed by studies to prove its efficacy as a sports recovery supplement.
The Facts
You asked and we answered with our most potent formulas and open labels so you know exactly which ingredients and how much of each you’re getting. Athlean-Rx contains no proprietary blends, and as always, no fillers, no substitutes and no harmful chemicals.
The Results
ReconstruXion is the go to recovery formula for some of the top teams in pro sports. It’s been so effective with our athletes that we have several reports of it preventing delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) after particularly intense workouts. While these reports are anecdotal at this stage I can personally attest to RX3’s effectiveness in helping me battle DOMS.
"I use ReconstruXion daily as a recovery aid and to assist in blunting the effects of DOMS after training."

Research suggests that L-Carnitine L-Tartrate improves muscle recovery and repair times. This is probably due to a boost in nitric oxide (NO) production, which improves blood flow and oxygen consumption in the muscles. LCLT also increases androgen receptors in the muscle cells, which means more testosterone is recruited to build muscle.
- Improves muscle recovery and repair between training sessions (probably due to a boost in Nitric Oxide and an increase in muscle oxygen consumption)
- Increases androgen receptors in muscle cells, thereby recruiting more testosterone to build muscle
- Improves insulin sensitivity

Considered one of the most anabolic of all the individual amino acids, L-Leucine is considered to be the main activator of protein synthesis via its effects on the mTOR pathway. What makes it especially vital (and often in deficient supply) is that it is an essential amino acid, which means that the body doesn’t produce it naturally. The only way for you to get this key amino acid in your system is through diet and or supplementation. Throw in its additional researched ability to prevent the breakdown of muscle tissue after intense training, and your ability to tip the balance of muscle growth in your favor just grew by leaps and bounds with ReconstruXion.
- Reduces muscle breakdown caused by intense exercise or dieting
- Stimulates protein synthesis, which increases the effectiveness of training and speeds recovery time between training sessions
- May increase metabolic rate

L-Glutamine is most commonly used for improving healing time following injuries or surgery. It can help speed recovery time between training sessions due to an increase in nitrogen levels in the muscle cells which assists in protein synthesis. L-Glutamine is also recognized for boosting the immune system, increasing energy levels and helping to regulate blood sugar levels.
- Reduces healing time after injuries or surgery
- Increases nitrogen levels in the muscle cells to assist in protein synthesis, which increases the effectiveness of training and speeds recovery time between training sessions
- Boosts the immune system, which can be compromised by intense training
- Increases energy levels and helps maintain steady blood sugar levels

L-Theanine is recognized for improving cognitive and mental processing, as well as focus, attention, memory, alertness and mood. It can also help improve sleep quality, reduce stress and help keep the body in a state of relaxation. It also helps improve immune system function, which can become compromised with heavy training.
- Reduces the effects of stress
- Increases serotonin and dopamine
- Improves sleep quality
- Improves focus, attention, memory, alertness and mood
- Improves immune system function
- The most effective dose for Theanine is from 100-250g per day

One of the most important benefits of Betaine is its ability to improve muscle strength and power during training sessions. Some studies have shown that it can improve endurance, increase the number of reps that can be done with a given weight, and improve power and force with every rep. Evidence also indicates that Betaine improves protein synthesis following training sessions.
- Improves muscle strength, power and endurance
- Increases protein synthesis following training sessions
- Increases growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor 1 production
- May help promote fat loss

Individuals should ingest 1-4 grams of glycine per day to experience deeper, more restful sleep. 6-8 hours of deep sleep is ideal for promoting recovery and muscle repair . Typically, a balanced nutrient dense diet will provide 2 grams of glycine per day.. RX3 ensures you reach optimal levels by providing 2 grams of glycine in a single serving, ideally right before bed to give you:
- Improved sleep quality and reduced fatigue
- Improved ability to fall asleep more quickly
- More recuperative, undisturbed sleep for better recovery
- Improved cognitive function

For enhanced muscle recovery, mix 1 scoop with 8-12 ounces of water and take daily. Use ReconstruXion daily as a recovery aid and to assist in blunting the effects of DOMS after sessions of intense training.
Yes! Women will receive the same muscle recovery benefits as men when taking ReconstruXion regularly.
Nutrition facts panels are calculated for people on a 2000 calorie diet, so people under 120lbs or following a low calorie diet may wish to use smaller servings of ReconstruXion.
When I set out to determine doses of ingredients, I looked to the scientific literature.
Specifically, I reviewed every well-designed, well-executed, peer-reviewed study I could find on the molecule and find the dose that confers the maximum benefits with the minimum side effects.
These doses are known as “clinically effective doses” because they are backed by scientific studies and demonstrated to produce the desired effects. Simply having an ingredient on the supplement facts panel doesn’t ensure that you’re getting enough of the ingredient to cause the desired effect.
L-Glutamine is most commonly used for improving healing time following injuries or surgery. It can also help speed recovery time between training sessions due to an increase in nitrogen levels in the muscle cells which assists in protein synthesis. L-Glutamine is also recognized for boosting the immune system, increasing energy levels and helping to regulate blood sugar levels. Since ReconstruXion contains a very high clinical dose of L-Glutamine users are able to glean the desired effects of this powerful Amino Acid.

All of our supplements are proudly produced in the US using the highest industry standards.
ReconstruXion is produced in a facility that processes peanuts, eggs, milk and wheat. Athletes with sensitivities to these foods may wish to consult with their physician before taking this product.
All our supplements have been monitored and formulated to meet the tastes of our users based on their feedback. However, BCAAs typically possess an extremely bitter taste profile. Leucine, which is considered to be the most effective of the three BCAAs at promoting muscle protein synthesis, is also the most bitter. As a result, the higher the leucine concentration, the more bitter and unpalatable the product becomes. If you find the taste of ReconstruXion to be too bitter, simply mix in more water. Additionally you may use a smaller scoop until you strike the perfect balance for your tastes.
We recommend using ReconstruXion once daily on training and non training days . You can take ReconstruXion after your workouts on training days or anytime on non-training days.
